Overview

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Staff Engineer specializing in Solar to join our team. We offer a collaborative environment with locations in Madison, WI, and Plano, TX. Duties and Responsibilities

1. Support electrical engineering aspects of commercial and utility-scale solar projects.
2. Coordinate with civil, geotechnical, structural engineers, and surveyors.
3. Design electrical systems and prepare construction documents.
4. Perform electrical calculations, including short circuit, load flow, and voltage drop analyses.
5. Stay informed about industry equipment and best practices.
6. Collaborate across offices to share workload and expertise.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Renewable Engineering.
• Knowledge of NEC and NESC standards.
• Proficiency in electrical power system modeling software.
• 0-4 years of experience in electrical design and construction.
• Ability to read and create construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication skills and ability to produce technical reports.
• Supportive team player with a positive attitude.

Required Experience

Compensation Range

Minimum: USD $75,000/year

Maximum: USD $95,000/year
