We are seeking an Industrial Electrician to join our Construction Services Group in San Diego, CA. This position supports small construction projects, tenant improvements, and facility modifications, as well as general multi-trade work including drywall repair, painting, minor plumbing, and basic building repairs.
This role will primarily support electrical work and will also assist HVAC and plumbing technicians with general tasks and field support. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, self-driven individual who is comfortable working in a construction-oriented environment, performing a variety of tasks rather than specializing in a single trade.
Support small construction and renovation projects involving electrical installations, modifications, and repairs.
Install, modify, and troubleshoot basic electrical systems and equipment under applicable codes and standards.
Assist with tenant improvements and facility electrical upgrades (lighting, outlets, circuits, equipment power, etc.).
Perform drywall repairs, patching, texturing, and painting as needed to complete electrical work.
Provide field support to electrical, HVAC, and plumbing technicians during project execution.
Assist with basic HVAC and plumbing tasks under supervision as required.
Read and follow electrical layouts, one-line diagrams, prints, and field instructions.
Perform general building repairs and support ongoing project work.
Safely operate hand and power tools, including basic electrical test equipment (multimeters, testers, etc.).

Typically requires education or formal training equivalent to the completion of a two-year technical degree or trade school program, and two or more years of progressive experience in the operation and maintenance of electrical equipment. Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
2–5 years of experience in electrical work, construction support, general maintenance, or multi-trade work is preferred.
Experience with commercial or industrial electrical systems is preferred.
Experience supporting small construction projects, tenant improvements, or facility electrical modifications.
Solid basic electrical knowledge, including:
Working safely with energized and de-energized circuits under supervision
Running conduit, pulling wire, installing devices, and performing basic troubleshooting
Ability to read and follow electrical layouts, one-line diagrams, prints, and field instructions
Working knowledge of construction practices and building systems.
Ability to safely operate hand and power tools and basic electrical test instruments.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members, vendors, and tenants.
Good verbal and written communication skills to document and report work performed.
Basic computer skills (email, work order systems, basic documentation).
Valid California driver’s license with a good driving record.
