Polaris Inc. is seeking a Global Strategic Sourcing Manager in Minnesota to lead the electrical category, drive supplier development, and ensure supply continuity. You will translate product plans into priorities and partner with Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Finance to optimize the supplier base.
The role demands strategic negotiation, cross-functional leadership, and data-driven decision making to balance cost, quality, and risk while contributing to enterprise value.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, category management, procurement, or a related function.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop teams and deliver results through others.
- Experience leading complex commercial negotiations and supplier agreements.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Electrical sourcing team and set direction.
- Develop and execute multi-year category strategies integrating roadmaps, cost drivers, supplier capabilities, and continuity risk.
- Own category cost and performance including negotiations, sourcing events, and long-term agreements.
- Manage capacity/demand reviews and mitigate supply continuity risks with clear owners and timelines.
- Strengthen supplier base through consolidation, regionalization, and supplier development.
