Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Electrical Sourcing Intern to support our Electrical Category team. This internship provides hands‑on experience in supplier sourcing, cost analysis, technical evaluation, and supply chain coordination for electrical components and systems. The intern will work closely with engineering, sourcing, supply chain, quality, and suppliers to ensure cost‑effective and technically compliant sourcing solutions. This will be an excellent learning opportunity to develop business and technical skills.

  • Practical exposure to strategic sourcing in the electrical domain.
  • Understanding of supplier selection and evaluation processes.
  • Experience in cost analysis and supply chain coordination.
  • Cross‑functional collaboration experience in an engineering‑driven environment.
  • Project management / Net Savings initiatives.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in evaluating suppliers for electrical components (e.g., connectors, wiring harnesses, PCBs, circuit breakers, transformers, sensors).
  • Support RFQ (Request for Quotation) preparation, analysis, and cost comparison.
  • Conduct technical and commercial benchmarking of electrical parts and suppliers.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to review drawings, specifications, and BOMs (Bill of Materials).
  • Participate in supplier audits, capability assessments, and performance evaluations.
  • Assist in cost reduction initiatives (VA/VE – Value Analysis/Value Engineering).
  • Track supplier lead times, quality metrics, and delivery performance.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) projects from sourcing perspective.

Education/Training: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
