Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced control software engineer to develop and commission software for manufacturing automation. You will work with engineers across disciplines to coordinate interfaces, and design embedded systems for project realization.

Proficiency with Siemens TIA Portal, Step7, and Fanuc Robotics is required, including machine vision integration. You will also integrate hardware with PLCs, servo drives, and industrial networks, applying PID control and power distribution expertise.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical, computer, or controls engineering or related field.
Minimum one year of practical experience.
Advanced engineering and physics knowledge.
Strong knowledge of systems integration strategies, concepts, and techniques.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Experience in design of custom equipment for manufacturing including assembly, inspection, process control.
Knowledge of Risk Level Assessment, codes, and regulations for industrial equipment safety.
External applicants must be authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Develop and commission control software for manufacturing automation processes.
Cooperate with engineers to coordinate software interfaces.
Develop control software and design embedded systems for project realization.
Develop software using Siemens TIA Portal, Step7, Fanuc Robots, and machine vision systems.
Integrate hardware with Siemens 1500 series PLCs, servo drives, industrial networking, PID controls, and power distribution.
Travel to various sites for customer service support, up to 50%.
