Job summary

Elcon Electric, based in Deerfield Beach, FL, is hiring experienced Service Technicians for residential and commercial service calls across Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. A minimum of 3 years running a service truck is required, with strong diagnostic and customer communication skills.

Company vehicle, benefits, and a supportive team are provided. Candidates should be able to diagnose problems, work independently, and lift up to 50 pounds.

What We Are Looking For

We are hiring experienced Service Technicians to join our team. We are looking for a Dade County based or a Broward / Palm Beach County based service technician. This position covers residential and commercial service calls throughout the tri-county area. Full-time employment includes a company vehicle, benefits, and the support of an established and experienced team. A minimum of 3 years of experience running a service truck is required. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to diagnose problems, communicate effectively with customers, and complete work independently.

You Should Be Able To

• Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems in accordance with the National Electrical Code
• Troubleshoot a wide variety of residential and commercial electrical issues
• Run tests on electrical components to ensure safe and effective installations
• Inspect electrical systems and equipment for damage, malfunctions, and safety hazards
• Communicate clearly with customers about the work performed and payment options
• Complete work tickets accurately and thoroughly for each service call
• Maintain your tools, equipment, and company vehicle in safe working condition
• Work independently, manage your time well, and represent the company professionally

Helpful But Not Required

• Bucket truck experience
• Low voltage or specialty system experience
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Journeyman license or other electrical credentials

Holding a license is a benefit but not a requirement for this position. Many of our technicians joined us without a license and developed their skills through hands‑on experience in the field. Schedule

• 8‑hour shifts
• On‑call rotation
• Overtime available
• Weekend availability

Pay

Pay based on experience and skill level. We pay fairly and reward technicians who take ownership of their work.

Requirements

• Valid Florida driver's license with a clean driving record
• Must pass a background check and drug screening
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and able to complete E‑Verify
• Must be able to work in outdoor conditions including South Florida heat and weather
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work from ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts
