Doppelmayr USA is seeking multiple skilled, reliable, and self-motivated Field Electrical Technicians based in Salt Lake City, Utah, and East Coast locations. The role involves responding to electrical service requests and providing infrastructure upgrades for ski lift and gondola installations across the USA.

Electrical Technician Duties and Responsibilities

• Diagnose low voltage control problems over the phone.
• Travel to ski areas throughout the region to perform on-site diagnostics and repairs, often in harsh winter conditions.
• Communicate estimated costs and timelines for repairs to customers.
• Install equipment and wiring for modifications and new installations.
• Log all services and report progress to the Director of Customer Service.
• Travel up to 75% of the year.

Electrical Technician Requirements and Qualifications

• Formal electrical training preferred.
• Understanding of PLC and relay logic control system design, including HMI.
• Knowledge of AC and DC drives, control circuitry, and electrical circuit diagrams.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an electrical technician, diagnostics and repair; ski lift experience is a plus but not required.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication skills and computer proficiency.
• Physical ability to work in mountainous environments during any season.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
