Job summary

M.C. Dean is hiring an Electrical Service / UPS installation systems Technician for the Service & National Accounts Group. The role involves electrical installations, UPS servicing, and a focus on customer satisfaction and safety. 60% travel across the United States is expected.

Applicants must hold a Journeyman license or VMET and be eligible for U.S. government security clearance. A valid high school diploma or GED plus 5+ years of electrical experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 5+ years experience in electrical service, including UPS installation.
• Current Journeyman license or VMET in VA/MD/WV or ability to obtain within one year of employment.
• Must pass government security investigation and possess U.S. citizenship for clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, conduit, cable, equipment per plans.
• Install, test, troubleshoot, and maintain EMS systems, smart breakers, devices, panels, sensors, and components.
• Inspect sites, study orders and drawings to determine material requirements and procedures.
• Test electrical systems and continuity using test equipment.
• Diagnose malfunctions and locate root cause, coordinating safe resolutions.
• Direct and train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring and fixtures.
• Travel across the United States up to 60% of the time.
