Job summary

Black Hills, part of TurnPoint Services, seeks an Electrical Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and upgrade residential and light commercial electrical systems in Olympia and the surrounding area.

You will handle same-day service calls, ensure safety and code corrections, and provide clear options to customers while documenting work in our field app. Training and career growth are emphasized in a safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in residential or light commercial electrical service.
• State Journeyman/Master Electrician license (or ability to obtain).
• Valid driver's license with clean MVR.
• Strong diagnostics and load calculations."
• Professional communication and option-building."
• OSHA-10/30, NFPA 70E, EVSE certs a bonus.
• Lift up to 50 lbs; on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair 120/240/277/480V systems; repair panels, breakers, outlets, switches, and lighting.
• Perform panel swaps, service upgrades, EV charger installs, and interlocks/ATS.
• Work to NEC/NFPA 70E standards; follow safety protocols and SOPs; obtain permits as required.
• Educate customers, present repair options, and secure approvals with clear notes and photos.
• Use field service app to capture diagnostics, materials, and time; build estimates and change orders.
• Maintain truck stock and tools; coordinate with dispatch for routing; support apprentices.
