Qualifications

• Requires a minimum of five years of professional electrical engineering or electrical sales engineering experience, and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional engineering advice on electrical service to large commercial, industrial and government utility customers.
• Assist customers with engineering new or revised electrical systems.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors and agencies during planning, design and construction of large projects.
• Review plans to ensure compliance with City Light requirements.
• Prepare or analyze engineering reports to support service decisions.
• Inspect installations prior to connection and assist with service and billing concerns.
• Coordinate with City Light work groups to meet service needs.
• Initiate service requests and prepare contracts and other working agreements.
• Use engineering principles to review complex electrical systems.
• Support standardized work processes within the ESE work group and others.
