Job description

InCharge Energy is seeking an experiencedElectrical and Safety Managerto lead the safe and efficient production of EV chargers within our manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for managing a team of production technicians, ensuring they are trained, compliant with safety standards, and meeting quality and production targets. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in electrical systems, safety regulations, and production management, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do
  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate the performance of production technicians
  • Schedule and assign tasks based on production priorities and individual skill sets
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment while addressing employee concerns effectively
  • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate updates, resolve challenges, and promote continuous improvement
  • Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for technicians on EV charger assembly, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Ensure all technicians are proficient in safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout, electrical safety, and emergency response
  • Maintain training records and ensure certifications remain up to date

Safety & Compliance

  • Champion a strong safety culture within the production facility
  • Develop, implement, and enforce safety protocols in compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify and address hazards
  • Investigate and report safety incidents, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Ensure all safety equipment is maintained and readily available

Production & Quality Management

  • Monitor production schedules to ensure on-time delivery and efficiency
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks or inefficiencies in production processes
  • Implement process improvements to optimize production flow and reduce costs
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production output, quality, and safety
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, supply chain) to ensure smooth operations
  • Oversee quality control procedures, ensuring EV chargers meet industry standards and certifications
  • Investigate and resolve quality issues to maintain high product standards

Electrical Systems & Technical Support

  • Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting support to production technicians
  • Oversee electrical testing and inspection of EV chargers, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and regulations
  • Stay up to date with advancements in EV charger technology and electrical engineering
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards such as UL and CE certifications
Your Experience & Capabilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field preferred (equivalent experience will be considered)
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in electrical or electronics production
  • Proven experience in managing and leading a team of production technicians
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, OSHA safety regulations, and quality control principles
  • Experience with EV charger technology or high-voltage electrical equipment is highly desirable
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining high safety and quality standards
  • Strong leadership skills with a commitment to mentoring and team development
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar safety certification preferred
  • Knowledge of UL, CE, and other industry standards
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

US Salary Range

$110,000 - $130,000 USD
