Qualifications

• Certificate of competency as electrical safety inspector and a valid driver’s license.
• An agility assessment will be conducted to ensure capability to endure hazardous elements of this position.

Responsibilities

• Performs field inspections using approved architectural and/or engineer-designed drawings.
• Coordinates inspections with other inspectors and supervisor when needed during the course of construction.
• Inspects existing buildings and structures for safety to determine if Certificates of Occupancy may be issued.
• Prepares detailed written or electronic inspection reports and itemizes violations to the electrical and building codes.
