Job summary

X4 Engineering is seeking a Product Safety Engineer (Electrical & Medical Devices) to join a lab-driven team. You will work hands-on evaluating safety for electrical and medical equipment, aligning with global standards and certification requirements.

You will perform leakage current, dielectric strength, temperature, and EMC pre-compliance tests, review schematics and risk files, and contribute to regulatory conformity across consumer, industrial, and medical device products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 2–5 years' experience in electrical product safety testing, compliance engineering, or laboratory environments.
• Working knowledge of safety standards (60601-1, 61010-1, 62368-1, 60335-1); medical device standards a plus.
• Hands-on experience with lab instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Support product safety evaluations and testing activities for electrical, electronic, and medical electrical equipment in accordance with applicable national and international standards.
• Perform routine safety testing including leakage current, dielectric strength, temperature, abnormal operation, mechanical hazards, grounding continuity, flammability, and EMC pre-compliance evaluations.
• Assist with product and component assessments against standards such as IEC/UL/EN 60601-1, 60601-1-2, 61010-1, 62368-1, and 60335-1, plus related collateral and particular standards.
• Review technical documentation including schematics, risk management files, bills of materials, insulation diagrams, user manuals, and labeling for compliance with regulatory and certification requirements.

The Role
