Job summary

Adams Electric Company is seeking a Safety Specialist to implement Environmental, Health, and Safety programs across assigned construction projects. You will oversee training, inspections, and compliance with OSHA and NFPA 70E standards, and work with project leaders to sustain a safe work environment.

The role requires hands-on site audits, coordination of safety resources, and delivering in-house training including OSHA 10/30, first aid, and equipment safety.

Qualifications

• Meets NFPA 70e – Electrical Safety Qualified Person criteria
• At least two years of safety coordination on a major construction site
• Experience with site safety audits and training

Responsibilities

• Perform Construction Site and Safety Audits on Adams projects.
• Participate in project handoffs and site preparation.
• Provide documentation of inspections and suggest corrective actions.
• Conduct quality control inspections of field leadership for safety forms.
• Ensure project sites are equipped with PPE, water, latrines, first aid.
• Consult field leadership to maintain safe working conditions.
• Assist in enforcing safety policies and environmental guidelines.
• Train project personnel on health and safety topics.
• Provide on-site surveillance and testing as required.
• Attend safety meetings and represent Adams professionally.
• Assist with incident and near-miss investigations.
