HYTORC is seeking a Tool Repair Technician to service Pneumatic and Electro-Mechanical Torque Multiplier tools in our service shop. The role involves repairing tools, pretesting, troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining safety and equipment records.

Candidates should have at least two years of tool repair experience, own basic tools, and a high school diploma with a valid driver’s license. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential for success.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain torque tools and equipment requiring mechanical, electrical or pneumatic repair.

• Collaborate with sales and service teams, engineers and customers.

Job description

HYTORC is currently seeking a Tool Repair Technician to work on our line of Pneumatic/Electro-Mechanical Torque Multiplier tools.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Repairs and maintains torque tools, and equipment requiring mechanical, electrical or pneumatic repair and performs preventive maintenance services.
• Pretesting of pneumatic and electric tools and accessories for the sole purpose of proper form, fit and function.
• The job involves trouble-shooting, tearing down, repairing, reassembling and calibrating all types of torque multiplying tools in shop.
• Works with sales and service team members, engineers and customers to meet the growing day to day repair requirements.
• Checks tools for safety decals and safe operating features and maintains an accurate schedule and record of maintenance.
• Assists in familiarizing and training customers on tool operation and maintenance.
• Demonstrates orientation toward excellent customer service by conducting daily activities, communications and interactions in a cooperative, positive and professional manner.

Education/Experience Required

• Minimum two (2) years of experience in repairing and maintaining tools and/or equipment.
• Ability to diagnose and successfully repair equipment or tools and plan a logical approach to troubleshooting and prioritizing workload.
• Must have and be able to use your own set of basic tools.
• Demonstrate ability to work with hands and to work in mechanically oriented situations.
• Must be a dependable team player with high energy and a strong commitment to quality output.
• Ability to work with little or no supervision.
• Computer proficiency and excellent communication skills.
• Must be able to wear protective equipment as needed.
• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have clean and valid driver’s license.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency (Microsoft Office/Word/Excel).

Physical Demands/Requirement

• Ability to routinely lift 25-40 lbs tools.
• Ability to perform work during prolonged standing up to 8 hours; frequent bending, stooping, crouching and reaching.
• Repair shop environment.

The wage range for this role considers various factors in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has been adjusted for the applicable geographic location at which the position may be filled. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $22 to $28.
