Job summary

Heidelberg Materials US, Inc. seeks an experienced Electrical Reliability Leader to enhance asset availability across cement operations. You will guide maintenance standards and support plant leadership, engineers, and operations with expert electrical solutions.

The role requires a engineering degree, 10+ years in industrial electrical maintenance, and strong knowledge of NEC/NFPA/ISA codes. Travel across North America is expected in a corporate environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; Electrical Engineering strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience, including leadership in reliability programs.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, ISA, and other electrical codes and standards.
• Experience with substations, power distribution, high-voltage equipment, motors, drives, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, and industrial control systems.
• Expertise in power system analysis: relay coordination, load flow, harmonics, and power quality analysis.
• Solid understanding of electrical safety, high-voltage switching, arc flash protection, risk mitigation, and maintenance methodologies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD; ability to travel across North America.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Corporate Electrical Reliability Program to improve asset availability and reduce unplanned downtime.
• Provide electrical maintenance expertise and guidance to plant leadership and engineering teams.
• Support facilities in implementing maintenance programs, standards, and best practices.
• Develop and maintain corporate standards for electrical asset management, power system reliability, and spare parts management.
• Lead root cause investigations for significant electrical failures and drive corrective actions across operations.
• Provide troubleshooting and technical support for complex electrical system issues to minimize disruptions.
• Assist plants with critical spare parts strategy, inventory management, and equipment replacements.
• Develop and deliver technical and maintenance training programs to strengthen workforce capability.
• Manage major electrical projects and implement emerging technologies and digital solutions.
