Job summary

Stoneway Electric Supply Company is seeking a Quotations Specialist to quote materials from plans and specifications for construction projects. You may build a Bill of Materials from blueprints or collaborate with customers on design-build projects.

You will interact with contractors, architects, and owners to suggest products, negotiate pricing with manufacturers and customers, and analyze quotations data to identify success patterns across products and customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with related experience or training; two-year trade school or four-year college degree strongly recommended.
• Background in wholesale electrical distribution or electrical contracting preferred.
• Understanding of the bid process and plan/spec reading is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Interact with electrical contractors, architects, engineers, and owners to suggest products for construction projects.
• Negotiate pricing with manufacturers and customers.
• Serve as a source of technical expertise within the branch.
• Collect and analyze quotations data to identify patterns by product type, manufacturer, bid amounts, and customers.
