Job summary

J.F. Electric, Inc. is seeking an engineering-oriented professional to support inspections and commissioning across refinery and industrial projects.

Responsibilities include documenting insulation resistance, preparing ITPs, inspecting deliveries, drafting cable pulling plans, and verifying electrical systems per owner specifications. Qualified candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or have completed an apprenticeship; experience in lieu of a degree is

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or completion of an apprenticeship program.
• Experience in lieu of a degree will be considered but is at the discretion of leadership.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Document insulation resistance of the cable.
• Write Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) for projects.
• Inspect material deliveries prior to installation to ensure conformance with project specifications.
• Draft cable pulling plans and send them to cable manufacturer for review and approval.
• Complete electrical system testing verification to owner specifications.
• Keep track of test instruments and send them out for calibration.
• Review project drawings to become familiar with project requirements.
• Walk down various projects to catch installation errors before completion.
• Audit tubing connections of instrumentation.
• Cross-train in all facets of the Division, preparing to fill in for anyone absent and grow in responsibility and scope over time.
