Job summary

P&E Constructors, LLC, a long‑standing electrical and mechanical contractor, seeks an Electrical Quality Control Inspector to verify quality and compliance of electrical installations on active project sites across the U.S. You will identify deficiencies, manage punch lists, and support project closeouts with a strong emphasis on safety and regulatory standards.

The role requires geographic mobility and up to 90% travel, with per diem and competitive base salary.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in quality assurance, quality control, inspection, or commissioning.
• Experience with electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems on industrial construction projects.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, schematics, and single‑line diagrams.
• Background in pharmaceutical, life sciences, semiconductor, cleanroom, or other highly regulated industries.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent quality control inspections of electrical work to verify conformance with project plans/specifications, applicable codes, and quality standards
• Develop, manage, and track punch lists, including verification of corrective actions and readiness for project closeout
• Coordinate with the project team to understand scope, milestones, inspection hold points, and documentation requirements
• Identify and document nonconformances/deficiencies, communicate issues to project leadership, and recommend corrective actions
• Support turnover activities, closeout documentation, and final walkdowns to ensure complete and compliant deliverables
• Promote a strong culture of safety and quality while working onsite with field personnel and subcontractors
• Review installation records, test documentation, and quality reports for accuracy and completeness
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and commissioning teams to resolve quality issues
• Ensure work complies with project specifications, NEC requirements, applicable industry standards, and owner requirements

Education

Journeyman electrical license or NCCER
