Job summary

Los Alamos National Laboratory in northern New Mexico is seeking a Quality Engineer at QE3 or QE4 level to bolster inspection and quality control on nuclear-related projects. Work involves advanced inspection skills, NCR coordination, and adherence to DOE QC programs and NEC/NFPA standards.

The role supports 4/10 schedules on site with potential shift variations; a Q clearance may be required, and extensive collaboration with project teams is expected.

Qualifications

• Understanding quality regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
• Experience with DOE QC programs and construction codes.
• Knowledge of NEC/NFPA 70, 72 and applying quality requirements.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform Level II QC inspections and propose corrective actions.
• Develop and update inspection procedures and checklists.
• Coordinate Non-conformance Reports (NCRC) to closure.
• Ensure inspection/test results align with plans and procedures.
