Job summary

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical, is seeking a full-time QA/QC Coordinator in Chester, Virginia.

The role supports development and enforcement of QA standards, coordinates inspections and audits, and ensures compliance with project specs and safety policies. The candidate should have 2–5 years of electrical construction experience and a HS Diploma/GED, with strong Excel/Word skills and solid communication abilities.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of electrical (industrial or commercial) construction experience.
• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Understanding of electrical construction standards, equipment and installations.
• Data Center experience preferred.
• Electrical field experience preferred.
• Through knowledge of construction disciplines.
• Proficient with Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Assists in development of QA standards and continuous improvement evaluations and revisions.
• Identifies non-conformances and issues corrective/preventive action reports.
• Monitors corrective actions and verifies closure of quality issues.
• Maintains accruate QA/QC documentation and records.
• Reports quality performance metrics to management.
• Coordinates inspections, tests, and audits at various project stages.
• Ensures compliance with project specifications, company standards, and applicable codes/regulations.
• Performs onsite inspections of equipment and installations.
• Proactively works with Project Team to ensure all installations are installed correctly the first time.
• Performs work onsite with the Project Team in performing all inspections and reports.
• Ensures compliance with all company and customer Safety policies and procedures.
