Job summary

Helix Electric in Sandy, UT is seeking a Quality Control Manager for a Data Center project. You will lead QA/QC activities, coordinate testing and commissioning, and work closely with Project Manager and Superintendent to ensure quality standards are met on site.

The role requires wiring/ electrical construction experience, leadership, and strong documentation skills. You will manage QC plans, reports, and third-party testing coordination to deliver a safe, compliant data center build.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in the electrical construction field.
• Minimum of 2 years of management experience in construction environment performing QA/QC auditing.
• Experience with electrical equipment and conductors to ensure safe testing, QC, and commissioning.
• Experience with safe start-up of electrical systems.
• Experience with de-energizing, Lockout tag of electrical systems.
• Working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) and 70E (Electrical Safety in the Workplace).
• Excellent knowledge of data acquisition systems (monitoring, communications, networking).
• Up to date and current computer knowledge, including Excel, MS Office, email, internet, DAS software, interface systems, Bluebeam.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, teamwork attitude.
• Clean DMV, drug test results, and background check

Responsibilities

• Coordinate testing and inspection reports as required by project requirements.
• Facilitate submissions of testing and inspection reports.
• Develop and execute project QC plans.
• Coordinate formal notifications as required.
• Lead all vital QC documentation – reports, test data, logs, QC daily reports.
• Cross-reference testing standards for compliance.
• Coordinate with 3rd-party testing firms as needed.
• Conduct regular site walks to support QC activities.
• Promote adherence to QC standards with field personnel.
• Ensure quality control procedures and safety guidelines are followed.
• Collaborate with commissioning team.
• Provide top service to clients with concise communication.
