We are seeking a driven and capable Electrical Project Manager to support multiple data center projects for a top technology client. This client-facing role requires strong interpersonal, communication, organizational skills, self-direction, client representation, and solid project management fundamentals. Experience managing multiple projects across regions and a background in data center development, design, engineering, controls, and operational requirements are highly desirable.

You will play an integral role in mentoring staff, building long-term client relationships, and pursuing new opportunities, including strategy development, proposal, and contract negotiations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Apply modern project management techniques within complex organizations; understand engineering, design, procurement, safety, construction, and commissioning processes.
  • Build strong client relationships and communicate effectively with technical and management personnel.
  • Develop and maintain best practices for cost-effective engineering solutions.
  • Manage scope, schedule, and budget, and report on progress.
  • Oversee work from initiation to close-out, ensuring timely and effective delivery.
  • Create PowerPoint presentations for management updates.
  • Conduct forensic analysis of building systems to improve performance.
  • Research new technologies and assess their integration into building systems.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for project development and delivery.
  • Vendor management and contract compliance, including oversight, scope review, and design review.
  • Manage vendor selection, contracting, and integration with internal teams.
  • Facilitate decision-making, manage change, and negotiate solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with audit recommendations.
  • Review project plans, requirements, and specifications.
  • Prepare RFPs and other project approval documents.
  • Coordinate with contractors to establish schedules.
  • Lead project meetings, document minutes, and track action items.
  • Review progress, pay applications, and invoices.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of construction and project management experience in facilities development.
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, project management, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of construction and building systems.
  • Knowledge of pre-design, pre-construction, contract management, and project delivery methods.
  • Experience in report development for diverse audiences.
  • Client-facing experience.
  • Ability to communicate technical progress clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management.
  • Membership in PMI, CCMA, or similar.
  • PMP or CCM certification.
  • Background in data center development and construction.
  • Design, testing, and commissioning experience is advantageous.
