Job summary

Talent Edge Recruiting partners with a growing electrical contractor to hire Junior and Senior Electrical Project Managers in Los Angeles, CA. This onsite, full-time role owns projects from start to finish, including P&L, forecasting, and client relations.

Projects range from $500K to $25M, with opportunities across commercial, aerospace, and tenant improvements. You’ll work with field teams, manage change orders, and drive profitability and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

  • 3–4 years junior or 8+ years senior electrical estimating in commercial/industrial construction.
  • Experience managing projects in the $500K–$10M range.
  • Proven ownership of full project P&L.
  • Strong forecasting and cost-projection experience.
  • Ability to clearly communicate project financials and status.
  • Experience with tenant improvements, occupied-buildings, hospitals, labs, or ground-up construction.
  • Construction PM software experience.

Responsibilities

  • Take full responsibility for project execution from start to finish.
  • Own project P&L and overall financial performance.
  • Develop cost forecasts and monthly financial projections.
  • Track job costs and communicate project financial performance.
  • Lead project timelines from 2 to 36 months.
  • Identify installation methods to improve profitability.
  • Manage client relationships while balancing workload and delivery needs.
  • Work with foremen and field teams during execution.
  • Support billing, price change orders, and manage changes.
  • Prepare project performance updates, forecasts, and financial reporting.
  • Anticipate delays and cost issues and respond proactively.

Junior and Senior Electrical Project Managers

Work Arrangement: Onsite, with regular local job-site visits

Employment Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $120K-$170K (DOE)

Bonus: Performance-based bonus tied to project gross profit

About the Opportunity

A growing, privately owned electrical subcontractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to take full ownership of commercial and industrial electrical construction projects from start to finish.

The company has recently secured several significant projects across commercial, aerospace, and tenant improvement markets and has a strong pipeline of additional work. Projects typically range from $2M–$25M, with an ideal PM background including projects in the $500K–$10M range.

This is a highly accountable role for a PM who understands that successful project management goes beyond day-to-day execution. You will be expected to anticipate project needs, protect profitability, maintain strong client relationships, and proactively manage timelines, costs, and resources.

What You'll Do
  • Take full responsibility for project execution from start to finish

What We're Looking For
  • 3-4 years (junior) or 8+ years (senior) electrical estimating experience within commercial or industrial construction
  • Experience managing projects in the $500K–$10M range
  • Demonstrated ownership of full project P&L
  • Strong forecasting and cost-projection experience
  • Ability to clearly communicate project financials and status
  • Experience with commercial electrical tenant improvements, occupied-building remodels, medical facilities, hospitals/labs/surgical centers, or ground-up commercial construction
  • Construction project management software experience
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilitiesA proactive mindset with the ability to think months ahead
  • Design-build or GC-side PM experience may also be considered
