Summary

At H. J. Russell & Company, we believe safety is the fundamental to every project’s success. We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Project Manager who is responsible for field operations on the project(s) assigned to achieve safe, timely, and profitable completion of each project. This position requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, as well as client service orientation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Make technical decisions regarding electrical installation.
• Manage financial reporting, tracking, and projections for job expenses, cash flows, and change orders.
• Manage electrical documentation to ensure completeness and approval.
• Review subcontractor billings for accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate schedules and improve workflows based on project progress.
• Review shop drawings for constructability and adherence to contract.
• Respond to RFIs to keep projects on track.
• Coordinate with procurement to eliminate scope gaps.
• Manage subcontracts and change requests.
• Track deliveries and update site management.
• Ensure safety requirements are met, including heavy lifts and LOTO.
• Support commissioning and ensure installation meets requirements.
• Monitor subcontractor progress and adherence to schedules.
• Prepare reports for clients and internal use.
• Promote a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years in industrial construction with a CM (focused on electrical) or electrical engineering degree, or 12 years without a degree but with journeyman certification and 4+ years electrical PM experience.
• Experience in utility (substation), industrial, data center, or electrical construction.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple demands.
• Knowledge of PM software.
• Experience as an electrical contractor PM on industrial projects is a plus.
• Effective communication for meetings and correspondence.
• Valid Driver’s License; travel may be required.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

Frequent sitting, handling objects, reaching, talking, and hearing. Occasional standing, walking, climbing, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Exposure to construction hazards, weather, chemicals, and noise. Reasonable accommodations available.
