Job summary

Skillforce in Greenville, SC is seeking an Electrical Project Manager for commercial projects. This full-time, direct-hire role offers a salary range of $115,000 to $130,000 per year, with healthcare, PTO, and a 401k plan.

Travel to job sites is occasional. The candidate will oversee submittals, coordinate permits and inspections, maintain cost reports, track equipment and budgets, and lead pre-construction and closeout activities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial electrical project management experience.
• Healthcare experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of electrical construction methods and projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee submittal process, review vendor information and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Coordinate permitting and inspection activities with administrative staff for compliance and scheduling.
• Develop and maintain material and labor cost reports aligned with project budgets.
• Monitor and track project equipment allocations and incorporate related costs into budget reporting.
• Conduct pre-construction planning meetings with foremen to review scope, schedules, and manpower requirements.
• Lead post-project closeout activities, including final reviews and presentations.
• Create and maintain detailed project schedules, adjusting timelines based on project developments.
• Coordinate with support staff to secure lighting and gear types after consulting with GC and foreman.
• Evaluate manpower requirements during weekly scheduling meetings and plan workforce.
• Maintain communication with general contractors, foremen, and upper management as liaison between company and GC/Owner.
• Demonstrate independent decision-making with minimal supervision.

Skillforce has teamed up with a leading electrical contractor to find a skilled Electrical Project Manager to work on their commercial projects. Healthcare experience is a plus.

This is a full-time, direct hire position based out of Greenville, SC with occasional travel.

Electrical Project Manager Key Responsibilities

Oversee the submittal process by gathering, reviewing, and evaluating vendor information while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Coordinate permitting and inspection activities alongside administrative staff to ensure project compliance and scheduling accuracy.

Develop and maintain material and labor cost reports in alignment with established project budgets.

Monitor and track project equipment allocations and incorporate related costs into budget reporting.

Conduct pre-construction planning meetings with foremen to review project scope, schedules, and manpower requirements.

Lead post-project closeout activities, including final reviews and project presentations.

Create and maintain detailed project schedules, regularly tracking progress and adjusting timelines based on project developments and team feedback.

Coordinate with support staff to secure required lighting and gear types for the jobsite after consulting with the GC and foreman regarding project needs.

Evaluate and communicate manpower requirements during weekly scheduling meetings while maintaining a proactive approach to workforce planning.

Maintain consistent communication with general contractors, foremen, and upper management while serving as the primary liaison between company personnel and the GC/Owner.

Demonstrate strong independent decision‑making skills with the ability to act confidently without direct supervision.

Electrical Project Manager Qualifications

3+ years of commercial electrical project management experience.

Healthcare experience is a plus.

Strong knowledge of electrical construction methods and projects.

Valid driver’s license and clean MVR required.
