Electrical Project Managers report to a Division Manager and are responsible for managing, performing, and completing assigned projects in accordance with company policies and procedures. Ideal candidates possess in-depth knowledge of electrical systems installation, alterations, additions, and repairs within the commercial construction industry. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Operations:
- Proven successful experience in previous roles
- Stable employment history with logical reasons for employment changes
- Experience indicating ability to perform the job well; confidence in own capabilities
- Electrical license preferred but not required

- Superior verbal skills; ability to express thoughts clearly
- Excellent reading, writing, and comprehension skills
- Active and effective listening skills
- Ability to translate technical jargon into layman's terms

- Believable and inspiring demeanor

Physical and Visual Requirements:
- Ability to survey electrical rooms, climb ladders, walk on rooftops, read equipment data
Monitoring and Control Responsibilities:
- Adherence to operational procedures, safety, quality assurance, substance abuse, and hot work policies
- Monitoring paperwork, schedules, profit/loss, estimating, change orders, and project completion
Production and Personnel Management:
- Monitoring safety, storage, productivity, wages, and equipment use
- Managing personnel start/stop times and fleet management
Experience and Certifications:
- Demonstrated success and stable employment history
- Electrical license preferred but not required
- Current driver’s license and applicable federal, state, and local licenses and certifications
Education:
High School diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent Watson training
Working Conditions:
- Mainly office environment; site visits expose to weather elements
- Must wear PPE and work 40+ hours including nights and out-of-town jobs
Skills:
- Planning, coordination, problem-solving, communication, and independent work abilities
- Math skills for budgets and schedules; decision-making capabilities
- Safe work practice adherence; vehicle operation skills
Physical Function:
- Good hearing and vision; ability to sit long periods; clear speech
- Ability to access construction sites and perform physical tasks
