Job summary

Preston Recruitment Ltd. is assisting a Texas electrical contractor in Austin seeking an Electrical Project Manager to own commercial projects from start to finish.

You will work closely with field leadership, customers, subcontractors and senior management to drive project success. The role requires 5+ years of electrical project management experience, a strong grasp of NEC and electrical construction, and the ability to read drawings, specs, and contracts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of electrical project management experience.
• Commercial electrical contracting experience.
• Strong understanding of electrical construction.

• Manage electrical projects from award through final completion.
• Review project contracts, drawings and specifications.
• Develop project schedules and track key milestones.
• Manage budgets, cost reports, forecasts and project profitability.
• Coordinate procurement, vendors and subcontractors.
• Manage RFIs, submittals and change orders.
• Work closely with Superintendents on labour planning and project execution.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and general contractors.
• Manage project billings and collections.
• Identify project risks and implement corrective actions.
• Support and mentor Assistant Project Managers.

Job description

Preston Recruitment is working with a rapidly expanding Texas electrical contractor looking for an Electrical Project Manager for its Austin operation.

You will have ownership of commercial electrical projects from preconstruction through closeout, working closely with field leadership, customers, subcontractors and senior management.

Responsibilities:

• Manage electrical projects from award through final completion
• Review project contracts, drawings and specifications
• Develop project schedules and track key milestones
• Manage budgets, cost reports, forecasts and project profitability
• Coordinate procurement, vendors and subcontractors
• Manage RFIs, submittals and change orders
