Job summary

Preston Recruitment Ltd in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Project Manager to lead major commercial projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will own budgets, schedules, procurement, subcontractors, RFIs, change orders, and client meetings.

You will mentor Project Managers and collaborate with field leadership to optimize manpower, productivity and cash flow while building long-term client relationships.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial electrical contracting background.
• Proven responsibility for large and complex projects.
• Understanding of project financials, WIP, forecasting and cost control.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, specifications and contracts.
• Experience leading field and project teams.
• Procore or MS Project experience is advantageous.
• Data center experience is highly attractive.

Responsibilities

Senior Electrical Project Manager - Austin, TX

Preston Recruitment is representing a growing Texas electrical contractor seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Project Manager to join its Austin operation.

This is a senior project leadership position for someone capable of taking ownership of significant commercial electrical projects from preconstruction through final closeout.

What You'll Do:

• Lead electrical construction projects from award through completion
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, cost controls and profitability
• Develop and maintain project schedules
• Manage procurement, subcontractors and major equipment packages
• Lead client, GC and internal project meetings
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders and contract requirements
• Identify commercial and operational risks before they impact the project
• Work closely with field leadership to manage manpower and productivity
• Oversee billings, collections and cash flow
• Mentor Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers
• Build strong long-term relationships with clients and project partners

What We're Looking For:
