Job summary

Embark Recruiting Solutions is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager for Columbus, Ohio, to oversee multi-family construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will manage schedules, budgets, field coordination, and client relations to ensure safe, on-time, on-budget delivery.

The role requires a strong background in electrical construction, project management, and proficiency with Bluebeam and PM software.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in electrical industry experience.
• 8+ years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• 5+ years in project management; construction experience preferred.
• Experience managing multi-family electrical construction projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage electrical construction projects from initial planning through closeout.
• Review estimates, drawings, specs, and scope of work for clear requirements.
• Develop and maintain project schedules including manpower, materials, sequencing, and look-ahead planning.
• Coordinate activities with field supervision, subcontractors, suppliers, customers, and other trades.
• Attend job site meetings and provide updates on progress, schedules, challenges, and needs.
• Prepare RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
• Review submittals and coordination between electrical, lighting, fire alarm, and HVAC.
• Prepare pricing and cost estimates for scope changes and extra work.
• Monitor job costs, labor productivity, purchase orders, and forecasts.
• Prepare monthly billings based on progress and costs.
• Provide labor and cost projections throughout each project's life.
• Utilize 2D drawings and Bluebeam for layouts and BIM-related tasks.
• Coordinate material and equipment deliveries to support schedules.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, safety, and code compliance.
• Ensure OSHA and electrical code compliance; adhere to contract obligations.
• Lead and mentor team members and resolve project challenges.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
