Job Details: Job Location: CEC Corporate Headquarters - Irving, TX 75061. Position Type: Full Time. Travel Percentage: Up to 25%. Job Category: Skilled Labor - Trades.

Position Summary

This position is responsible for providing leadership and oversight for strategic and day‑to‑day operations for all construction, project management, and project administration activities. It involves ensuring budgets, timelines, and profitability on assigned projects, and supporting corporate policies and mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide operational oversight in client management, procedural issues, financial and reporting issues, and workforce planning and analysis.
  • Promote growth and development of client relationships.
  • Actively manage the workload, professional development, and client development skills of project management staff.
  • Promote positive customer relations by dealing professionally and fairly with all contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Initiate, execute, and document a quality job start‑up meeting for projects.
  • Manage and maintain strategic partner subcontractor and vendor relationships, including verification of timely payment.
  • Perform monthly project reviews with project teams to ensure adherence to schedules, quality of work, safety, administration, and profitability.
  • Analyze available and qualified personnel and make specific project assignments to meet project needs.
  • Regularly participate in meetings and presentations to secure new work.
  • Assist project managers and superintendents with resolution of specific issues and requests.
  • Manage customer relations and change order negotiations.
  • Represent meetings, interviews, and networking events.
  • Schedule, facilitate, and document project close‑out meetings. Verify project data sheets and photos (with client permission) for all completed projects.
  • Responsible for all financial reporting, tracking, and projection of labor, material, job expense, and changes for each assigned project.
  • Monthly financial projections for each assigned project.
  • Create a project‑specific schedule of values that will maintain positive cash flow for each assigned project.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective completion of project.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field preferred; high school diploma required.
  • Minimum of 10 years successful PM experience in electrical construction.
  • Knowledge of construction technology, scheduling, equipment, and methods required.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop relationships and assist in winning projects.
  • Proven experience mentoring and managing others.
  • Business development and heavy client interaction experience.
  • Current and valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

This role may involve working inside or outside with exposure to extreme temperatures, weather elements, restricted or confined spaces, and uneven surfaces. The position may include working on ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and other typical heavy construction exposures. It also requires an office component with standard equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.

Essential duties include traversing and inspecting all jobsite areas under various weather conditions; walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, standing, or stretching as needed. Occasional lifting up to 40 pounds and standing for extended periods are required. Work may be 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week, with overtime, night shifts, and on‑call duties to address delays, emergencies, or bad weather.
