Job summary

A leading engineering consultancy is seeking a Project Engineer, Electrical to provide expertise in electrical design and project management across multiple manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with PLCs and HMIs, with the ability to lead significant projects. This position requires collaboration with various teams and approximately 30% travel within the U.S. Responsibilities include design, coordination of projects, and supporting safety and efficiency initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of electrical engineering experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Project management experience, preferably with large capital projects.
• Experience managing contractor relationships is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, program, and support PLCs, HMIs, and variable frequency drives.
• Lead and manage large capital electrical and controls projects.
• Support standardization efforts for electrical controls and power systems.

Skills

Hands-on experience with PLCs

Knowledge of Rockwell HMI platforms

Strong communication skills

Analytical and problem-solving skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
