Job summary

Eagle Electrical Services is seeking a Project Engineer to support electrical construction projects in the Columbus area. You will help plan, direct, coordinate, and budget activities to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

This in-person position requires collaboration with PMs, field teams, and vendors. It offers growth toward an Assistant Project Manager role and excludes hybrid or remote work.

Qualifications

• BS in Construction Management or Engineering desirable.
• Electrical construction knowledge gained through an apprenticeship program is acceptable.
• Strong communication skills – verbal and written – that promote working together.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow a process.
• Organizational and time management skills.
• Problem resolution skills.
• Demonstrate responsiveness to external and internal customers and ownership of your job and responsibilities is critical.
• Desire to be part of a team and understand how your role fits into the bigger picture.
• Demonstrated experience using various software such as Microsoft 365.
• Will train on Construction related software such Accubid, Bluebeam, CAD.

Responsibilities

• Participate in estimating hand off meetings.
• Assist with management of documents for the Field.
• Establish project schedule with PM.
• Create cost code allocations from initial estimate.
• Coordinate prefabrication opportunities and schedule for assemblies.
• Assist with project change orders.
• Ensure latest drawings are available to Office and Field.
• Visit job sites and attend job meetings as needed.
• Bi-weekly projection on job cost.
• Manage vendors and track material deliveries.
• Issue timely RFIs.
• Assist with purchasing and delivery tracking.
