Individuals assigned to this classification will perform engineering calculations and must be able to layout and design systems in accordance with established policies, standards, procedures, and codes. They should exercise judgment in their application with minimal supervision and apply practical knowledge to resolve project-related problems and conflicts. Capable of independent decision-making, they may also supervise subordinate personnel or assist other engineers or designers.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering calculations, layout, and design of systems following policies, standards, procedures, and codes.
• Apply practical knowledge to resolve project issues.
• Make independent engineering decisions.
