Your Opportunity

The MCF (Mission Critical Facilities) Electrical Project Engineer performs technical and project management duties under the supervision of a Senior Project Engineer or Project Manager. Understands project requirements and performs independent technical work within their discipline. Provides guidance to Designers. The data center industry is continually evolving, making this an ideal opportunity for candidates who enjoy technically challenging projects with cutting-edge designs.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Develop electrical design and assessment opportunities for clients to grow the Electrical Team.
  • Develop advanced systems designs within own discipline with minimal supervision; offer solutions to technical problems.
  • Collaborate with senior project engineers to prepare project deliverables per client scope.
  • Follow quality management processes; review project deliverables before submission.
  • Assist or act as project manager, providing input on tasks, timelines, and budgets.
  • Understand and advise clients on company’s service offerings.
  • Meet or exceed utilization goals and adhere to project budgets.
  • Identify potential roadblocks and report on project scope, schedule, and budget issues.
  • Develop understanding of company’s accounting and project management systems.
  • Participate in professional community activities for growth.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLC)/industrial controls is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Basic knowledge of engineering practices within own discipline.
  • Knowledge of design and construction concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents and regulations.
  • Proficient in CAD and Revit software.
  • Effective communication skills for coordinating with vendors and team members.

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical/mechanical engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years experience in electrical design and consulting for relevant projects.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools preferred.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license is a bonus.
  • Experience in mission-critical/data center projects is preferred.
