Job summary

OEG, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer Intern to support design tracking and coordination across BIM/CAD, Pre-Construction, Operations and Project Management.

The role involves hands-on exposure to multiple construction disciplines and active participation in safety, scheduling, and cost tracking. The intern will rotate through orientation, safety training, and core project activities, contributing to fields like SharePoint documentation, field management, and contract review.

Qualifications

• Strong familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities

• Support project with design tracking and coordination across BIM/CAD, Pre-Construction, Operations and Project Management.
• Attend OEG Orientation and learn company processes, safety standards, and job-site procedures.
• Contribute to Safety training: PPE, OSHA basics, Defensive Driving, DOT training.
• Assist Pre-Construction: take-off training, intro to Accubid, phasing and cost tracking, BIM/CAD.
• Support Operations: scheduling, site and equipment tracking, process improvement initiatives.
• Learn Sarbanes-Oxley controls and internal audits.
• Get introduced to SharePoint and use it for job-site documentation.
• Support Project Management: contract review, cost projection, change orders, job cost productivity, materials management, billing and documentation.
• Assist Field Management: foreman roles, equipment requests, communications, planning.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
