Position Summary:

Logistics & Storage Support Services (L3S) is an engineering service and project management organization comprising engineering and other resources that primarily manage project work associated with the pipeline, terminal, and marine organizations within MPLX. L3S is seeking a highly motivated Electrical Project Engineer to support the Major Projects team. This engineer will manage multiple projects simultaneously, mainly within pipeline and terminal facilities as well as on mainline pipeline assets. The Project Engineer manages all aspects of assigned projects, including project scope, estimate, schedule, engineering design, equipment and material selection, project bidding, contractor selection, construction oversight, management of change, safety and environmental oversight, and other tasks necessary to complete successful projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage multiple projects of varying size and complexity from conception to start-up following the Marathon Project Management Process (MPMP).
2. Develop and maintain knowledge of pipeline, terminal facilities, and mainline equipment, applying it to project design and execution.
3. Ensure adherence to engineering standards and regulatory requirements in project design and execution.
4. Collaborate with departments, subject matter experts, technicians, vendors, and stakeholders to gather information, obtain permits, and easements.
5. Manage project performance to meet quality, cost, and schedule parameters safely and environmentally responsibly.
6. Coordinate with Project Controls for project administration including scheduling, estimating, and cost management.
7. Develop contracting plans, prepare bid requests, and evaluate bids based on engineering and business principles.
8. Maintain accurate documentation to ensure DOT compliance and proper record-keeping.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Willingness to travel to field locations or fabrication sites; a valid driver's license required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Preferred 8+ years of industry experience.

Location & Travel:

This position is preferred in Findlay, OH; other MPC locations will be considered. Travel up to 50%, including overnight stays, may be required.
