Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced engineer to support an engineering team delivering electric distribution solutions for residential, commercial, industrial, and municipal customers.

You will manage projects from concept through construction, coordinate with customers and internal teams, and serve as the primary contact across project lifecycles. Expected are strong communication skills and a solid background in engineering principles and CAD tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• Minimum 4 years of engineering experience for Engineer III.
• A Master's degree in Engineering may be considered in lieu of the B.S.
• Engineer II requires BS with ABET or PE; 2 years of engineering experience.
• Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering degrees preferred.
• Experience with CAD software, PoleForeman, and/or Maximo.
• Passing grade on the Engineering Fundamentals Exam.
• Increasingly proficient in project management principles.
• Experience in the utility industry.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Support an engineering team delivering electric distribution solutions for residential, commercial, industrial, and municipal customers.
• Manage projects from concept through construction.
• Issue and manage communications with customers, developers, contractors, and operations teams.
• Serve as primary contact for customers and internal teams through lifecycles.
• Own projects and coordinate communication from initial request to completion.
• Prepare technical reports, correspondence, and sketches.
• Conduct engineering studies and related analyses.
• Complete projects and manage schedules and interfaces.
• Design, operate, and maintain electrical systems.
• Visit customer construction sites and build strong relationships.
