Job summary

A-C Electric Company is seeking a Project Engineer to grow their project management experience while taking responsibility for technical details that keep electrical construction moving. You will work with project management and field teams to review documents, coordinate schedules, track materials, and resolve routine technical issues.

The role blends field time with project coordination, helping you understand how projects are planned and executed from startup through closeout.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent with applied electrical experience through an apprenticeship, college, or relevant work experience.
• Ability to read and understand construction documents, including plans and contracts.
• Ability to work under time pressure, manage changing requirements, and stay constructive on project challenges.
• Ability to work proactively and effectively as part of a project team.
• Ability to communicate and work professionally with internal and external clients and field teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating technical project requirements by reviewing plans, specs, RFIs, and field change documents; resolving routine issues and ensuring current information is available in Procore and other locations.
• Supporting project schedules and planning by developing plans, coordinating schedule updates, monitoring progress, maintaining risk matrices, and communicating risks.
• Developing and coordinating project changes by pricing and scoping change requests and coordinating with field, vendors, subcontractors, and clients to keep changes moving.
• Tracking project costs and production by understanding budgets, supporting cost coding, reviewing production plans and earned hours, and communicating findings to the team.
• Connecting project information with field execution by walking jobsites, verifying progress drawings, coordinating discrepancies with foremen and superintendents, and removing roadblocks.
