Job summary

AISIN World Corp. of America in Northville is seeking a Project Engineer to develop and execute test plans for AISIN Body ECUs on assigned projects. The role will coordinate with customers, internal teams and external labs to ensure tests are executed and results are reported.

The Project Engineer will support test infrastructure development, data collection and analysis, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering required.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive systems testing and validation.
• HIL test development experience with Vector tools preferred (CANoe, Canalyzer, vTestStudio).
• Strong knowledge of CAN-FD, CAN, LIN, SAE J2602 bus protocols.
• Familiarity with measurement instrumentation and data acquisition tools (Vector CANape, DMM, oscilloscopes, NI-DAQs).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated complex technical problem-solving skills (RedX, 5 Why, Fishbone).
• Working knowledge of ADVP&R process.
• Proficient in MS Office suite.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer and internal requirements to develop test artifacts and reports.
• Develop and execute test plans complying with standards and customer needs.
• Investigate test failures and provide assessment reports and recommendations.
• Review and report testing data with traceability to requirements.
• Support hardware/software test infrastructure development (fixtures, interfaces, manuals).
• Assist production and engineering in troubleshooting, data collection, and analysis.
• Attend internal/external customer meetings and reviews as required.
• Support continuous improvement projects, validation methods, and processes.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
