Electrical Project Engineer / Designer at GPD Group

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer/Designer for our offices in Akron, Cleveland, Independence, OH. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in educational, public, healthcare, or federal projects, with a background in electrical design including power distribution, lighting, controls, generator systems, and proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited program.
• Experience in building power, lighting, and generator systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit preferred.
• Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid Driver’s License and willingness to travel for site surveys and project oversight.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical, lighting, fire alarm, and generator systems for vertical construction projects.
• Mentor and develop junior staff.
• Review equipment submittals and address construction RFIs.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and interact with clients.
