Job Summary

We are seeking a Baggage Handling Project Designer to join our team. This role requires understanding project scope, mechanical designs, and calculations for baggage handling and airport systems. The ideal candidate will coordinate design information across disciplines, demonstrate knowledge of building codes, engineering software, and be proficient in Revit. Responsibilities include development, design, execution of projects, and supporting mechanical aspects, along with proposal production, conceptual design review, client interfacing, site surveys, and design reviews.

Responsibilities & Qualifications
Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical guidance to engineering staff, applying standards and suggesting solutions to meet client needs efficiently and effectively.
  • Ensure quality assurance procedures are followed and conduct engineering planning, design, and operational studies.
  • Offer feedback on conveyance components, perform design work, and research data for standards compliance.
  • Prepare project documents, including calculations, plans, specifications, cost estimates, and schedules; inspect installations for compliance and safety.
  • Track opportunities for methodology and training improvements.
  • Deliver high-quality services and recommend design modifications to prevent malfunctions.
  • Apply design techniques, tools, and principles, understanding company capabilities and technical standards.
  • Use logic and reasoning to evaluate solutions and approaches.
  • Understand civil, mechanical, and related engineering principles.
  • Apply engineering principles to operational and design issues.
  • Write specifications, prepare cost estimates, interpret codes, and ensure standards compliance.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience.
  • Revit knowledge required; AutoCAD preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
