Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Project Engineer for an on-site data center project in Mesa, AZ. You will support a team of project managers, oversee electrical scope, track design changes, and maintain controls to keep schedule and budget on track.

The role emphasizes coordination between field operations and engineering, preparation of submittals, RFIs, and logs, along with cost tracking and vendor coordination. A bachelors degree and 2+ years' experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering.
• At least 2 years as Project Engineer.
• Experience on data center or semiconductor projects.
• Electrical construction experience preferred.
• Strong scheduling and document control skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Track design changes and ensure up-to-date documents.
• Monitor construction progress and maintain job cost tracking.
• Coordinate design changes with field operations and project management.
• Prepare change orders and maintain a change log.
• Develop and maintain the project schedule and progress reporting.
• Maintain submittal logs and RFIs.
• Prepare project submittals and RFIs to client.
• Maintain document controls and versioning.
• Read and analyze construction schedules for impacts.
• Support cost tracking including cost coding and variance analysis.
• Collaborate with managers, field leadership, and subcontractors.
