Job summary

McKinstry is seeking a Project Engineer to join the Electrical team in Spokane, WA. The role supports the management of projects by coordinating with clients, subcontractors, vendors and internal teams, and assists with procurement, scheduling and field activities.

Responsibilities include reviewing contracts and drawings, developing scope of work, tracking budgets, preparing monthly reports, RFIs and submittals, and coordinating safety plans with the site team.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of construction concepts and reading construction plans.
• Ability to interpret contracts, drawings, specs, and estimates.
• Experience in customer service or office administration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project setup, site mobilization and closeout.
• Assist in preparation of Job Start and Closeout binders.
• Support procurement, tracking, and scheduling of trades.
• Prepare RFIs, submittals, and billing breakdowns.
• Communicate with Architect/Engineer/Owner to support the Project Manager.
