Weston & Sampson is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our expanding electrical group in Providence, RI. You will design and manage construction documents for a variety of facilities including educational, commercial, water and municipal projects.

The ideal candidate has an engineering/technical degree or equivalent experience, 0–10 years in an engineering firm, and hands-on experience with AutoCAD and Revit. Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering and design for both new and renovation projects for a variety of facility types within the public, private and municipal sectors.
• Production of contract drawings, field investigations, shop drawings, reports and participation in project meetings.
• Coordinating with multi-disciplinary personnel located in local and regional offices, working with sub-consultants, equipment vendors and clients.
• Capable of working independently with minimal oversight and initiating coordination with other building system disciplines.

Weston & Sampson is seeking a motivated, proactive individual to work within our growing electrical group as an Electrical Engineer. The ideal candidate will have experience in the design and construction administration working in a multi-disciplinary professional engineering firm involved in the production of contract documents. This individual will support our growing internal and external clients serving the educational, commercial, water, wastewater and municipal industries. A solid understanding of power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, emergency power generation and the NEC is required.

What you’ll do:

• Perform engineering and design for both new and renovation projects for a variety of facility types within the public, private and municipal sectors.
• Responsibilities will include production of contract drawings, field investigations, shop drawings, reports and participation in project meetings.
• Duties will include coordinating with multi-disciplinary personnel located in local and regional offices, working with sub-consultants, equipment vendors and clients.
• A successful candidate should be capable of working independently with minimal oversight and be capable of initiating coordination with other building system disciplines.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $130,000 depending on experience
