Electrical Project Engineer

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join our team in New Orleans, LA. In this role, you will take full ownership of electrical design projects from initial concept through construction completion, leveraging the support of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary, in-house team.

As the project lead, you will serve as the technical authority and primary client liaison for the electrical discipline, driving project schedules, technical quality, and successful outcomes across a diverse portfolio of premier architectural engineering projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Project & Technical Leadership: Manage all technical aspects of electrical engineering projects of varying size and complexity, ensuring deliverables are accurate, on schedule, and aligned with client expectations.
• Client & Interdisciplinary Coordination: Interface directly with clients, architects, and internal multi-disciplinary teams to represent the electrical discipline in project meetings, design reviews, and construction coordination.
• Design & Analysis: Conduct electrical design, construction cost evaluations, and life cycle cost analyses for the built environment.
• Team Management & Scheduling: Plan, schedule, and oversee technical tasks for electrical design staff to ensure project milestones and quality standards are consistently met.

QUALIFICATIONS & CRITICAL SKILLS

• Education & Credentials: Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Industry Experience: Minimum of 9 years of experience within an architectural engineering (A/E) consulting environment.
• Technical Expertise: Deep specialization in electrical engineering design for buildings and the built environment, including knowledge of construction costs and life cycle analysis.
• Project Management: Demonstrated experience managing moderate-to-complex engineering projects or acting as a secondary point of contact on major enterprise projects.
• Communication: Exceptional formal written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to present technical concepts to clients and stakeholders.
