Job summary

Essity in Bowling Green, KY is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to drive capital projects from concept to commissioning, developing scopes, cost estimates, and schedules for new equipment.

You will own the site electrical distribution, troubleshoot high-speed lines, and program PLCs/HMIs/drives, while ensuring NFPA 70E, NEC and OSHA compliance for safe operation.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
• Minimum 3+ years of project engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with CAD tools such as AutoCAD or ePlan.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with PLCs and electrical distribution systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital projects from concept through commissioning.
• Develop project scopes, cost estimates and schedules.
• Oversee installation, startup and validation of new equipment.
• Own and maintain site electrical distribution systems.
• Program PLCs, HMIs, drives and motion control systems.
• Ensure safety standards (NFPA 70E, NEC, OSHA) are met.
• Provide technical support to operators and technicians.
• Develop obsolescence strategy for control systems.

The Electrical Project Engineer will lead capital projects that drive business growth and support continuous improvement initiatives.
