JOB ROLE SUMMARY

The Electrical Project Engineer will be responsible for designing and supporting renewable energy projects to support delivery of system hardware, configuration of SCADA/control systems, commissioning of sites, and fulfillment of energy market qualification services. The individual in this role will have a strong technical background in power and control systems as well as a proven track record of designing and deploying SCADA and control systems.

Indie Energy is supporting some of the largest Solar PV and Energy Storage projects all across North America. Our software and project design approach is unique and resonating within the industry as evidenced by our growing project portfolio. Part of the role of Electrical Project Engineer will be to participate in continuous improvement of the Indie Platform and Project Management System.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. 3+ Years of Electrical SCADA/Controls Engineering Experience
2. Hands-on use of design tools such as AutoCAD, Visio, VS Code, HMI builders (SEL, Ignition, or others)
3. Track Record of successful collaboration in a fast-paced multi-disciplined project environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. Extensive experience with power-specific OT technologies such as RTAC, Tesla DFR, Open Historian
2. Exposure to dynamic modeling in PSCAD and PSS/e
3. Skilled in commissioning ERCOT, CAISO, and other energy market projects
4. Familiarity with IEEE 1547, 2800, NERC CIP
5. Experience with workflow automation, databases, and scripting languages such as Python
6. Exposure to network design, firewalls, and cybersecurity requirements
