Electrical – Project Engineer at Wiley|Wilson

Responsibilities
  • Utilize experience to solve complex problems, ensuring compliance with industry codes and client standards.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including architecture, multiple engineering disciplines, PMs, and contractors.
  • Lead project teams, delivering comprehensive engineering design packages to federal, state, local, commercial, industrial, and university clients.
  • Provide oversight and training to junior engineers and designers.
  • Support construction and commissioning, ensuring quality and accuracy; communicate with project managers and stakeholders.
  • Work with the electrical team across offices to enhance internal standards, conduct load flow, short‑circuit and voltage‑drop analyses.
Requirements
  • 6‑10 years of electrical engineering experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field from an ABET accredited institution.
  • Registered Professional Engineer in Georgia, or ability to obtain within 3 months.
  • Experience in building system design: power distribution, lighting & control, grounding & lightning protection, emergency & UPS.
  • Familiarity with system modeling software (ETAP, SKM, AGI) and sustainable design practices.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States and obtain security clearance.
Desirable
  • Prior consulting experience.
  • Federal government design experience.
  • LEED accreditation.
  • LC certification.
  • Functional knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD.
