Potelco, Inc. seeks an Electrical Professional Engineer to join our Sumner, WA team. You will lead power systems projects modernizing the electric grid and supporting electrification and decarbonization initiatives, collaborating with experienced professionals.

The role combines office and field work; required are a PE license, a 5+ year track record in utilities/construction, and strong communication. Travel and PE stamping duties are part of the job, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• PE license in Electrical Engineering required.
• Minimum 5+ years in construction or utilities.
• Ability to write business correspondence and communicate effectively.
• Willingness to travel, short-term.
• Strong presentation skills to managers, clients, and agencies.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Excel skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Engineering: review, sign, and seal deliverables; validate conductor sizing and system protection; perform electrical design, field investigations, wiring diagrams, and PE stamping.
• Project Management: manage distribution and substation construction/maintenance; coordinate with supervisors, owners, subcontractors, and engineers; ensure compliance with deadlines and codes; prepare templates for client deliverables.
• Leadership: mentor junior engineers; perform other duties as needed.
